Ysgardian Dwarf

Physical Description: Ysgardian dwarves are stockier than Material Plane dwarves. Their hair color ranges from red to blond, and eye color is almost universally blue.
Personality: Ysgardian dwarves are much more personable and friendly than other dwarves. They have a zest for life they love to share, and ale, women, and song are their favorite pastimes.
Relations: Ysgardian dwarves get along well with humans and martially-oriented races. They pity elves, treat halflings and gnomes as children, and despise giants, their sworn enemies.
Alignment: The majority of Ysgardian dwarves are chaotic good.
Ysgardian Dwarven Lands: Ysgardian dwarves hail from Nidavellir, the third layer of Ysgard.
Religion: Ysgardian dwarves worship Muamman Duathal and Sharindlar, the two dwarven deities with realms on Nidavellir. A few also revere the Asgardian pantheon, especially those with close ties to the Vikings.
Language: Ysgardian dwarves share the same tongue as their other dwarven brothers.
Names: As with other the other dwarven races, an Ysgardian dwarf gains his or her name from elders of the community. This given name remains with them throughout their life. However, instead of a clan name, each dwarf chooses a surname that best represents his or her place in the multiverse. That surname may change as deeds are accomplished or battles are lost.
Adventurers: Much as their god, Muamman Duathal, wanders the planes, Ysgardian dwarves have a wanderlust that drives them to seek out great deeds. They revel in the glory of combat for a righteous cause, especially if the odds are against them.

YSGARDIAN DWARF RACIAL TRAITS

Humanoid (dwarf, native on Ysgard).
Medium creature.
Base land speed 20 feet. A dwarf can move at this speed even when wearing medium or heavy armor or carrying a medium or heavy load.
Darkvision 60 feet.
+1 racial bonus on attack rolls against goblinoids, half-orcs, and orcs.
+2 racial bonus on Open Lock checks, and Appraise and Craft checks related to metal or stone items.
+2 racial bonus on Fortitude saves against poison, spells, and spell-like abilities.
+4 dodge bonus to AC against giants.
Stability (Ex): A dwarf gains a +4 bonus on ability checks made to resist being bull rushed or tripped when standing on the ground.
Stonecunning (Ex): A dwarf gains a +2 racial bonus on Search checks to notice unusual stonework. If a dwarf merely comes within 10 feet of unusual stonework, he can make a Search check as if actively looking for it. He can use Search to find stonework traps, and he can intuit his depth underground.
Weapon Familiarity (Ex): Dwarves treat dwarven waraxes and dwarven urgroshes as martial weapons instead of exotic ones.
Automatic Languages: Common, Dwarven.
Bonus Languages: Giant, Gnome, Goblin, Orc, Terran, Undercommon.
Favored Class: Barbarian.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Ysgardian dwarf paragons are proficient with all simple and martial weapons, with light, medium, and heavy armor, and with shields (but not with tower shields).
Craft Expertise (Ex): An Ysgardian dwarf paragon may add his class level as a racial bonus on all Craft checks related to metal or stone items.
Improved Stonecunning (Ex): An Ysgardian dwarf paragon’s racial bonus on Search checks to notice unusual stonework increases to +4. The range at which he receives an automatic Search check increases to 20 feet. Also, he can intuit where true north is in relation to himself whenever underground.
Improved Darkvision (Ex): An Ysgardian dwarf paragon’s darkvision range increases by 30 feet.
Save Bonus (Ex): An Ysgardian dwarf paragon’s racial bonus on saves against poison, spells, and spell-like effects increases by +1.
Ability Boost (Ex): An Ysgardian dwarf paragon’s Constitution score increases by 2 points.
